What is ROAD SCHOLAR?
ROAD SCHOLAR is the new name for the programs of Elderhostel, Inc., the nation's first and the world's largest education and travel organization. Since its founding in 1975, Elderhostel has grown to offer more than 10,000 learning adventures each year in more than 100 countries-from Austria to Australia, and Chile to China. As a not-for-profit organization, Elderhostel believes in the enrichment of lifelong learning and is dedicated to providing exceptional learning opportunities at a remarkable price.
Participants come from every walk of life to learn together, exchange ideas, and explore the world. The only requirement for enrollment is to be an adult with a love of active-learning.
