Second Saturday
Second Saturday is a free program open to people of all ages. It is an opportunity to enjoy God’s creation at Shepherd's Spring. Each Second Saturday has a theme for guided enjoyment – or plan your own time.
Programs will gather at the Lodge Lobby, then go exploring – in whatever weather God provides on that day – so come prepared! Each Second Saturday will also include a time of worship.
The program is called Second Saturday because it is offered on the Second Saturday of each calendar quarter (except where we had scheduling conflicts – see dates!)
Second Saturday experiences can be enhanced by adding a meal in the lodge dining room or an overnight stay. Groups may also plan to add an experience in the Heifer Global Village or on our team building initiatives course. Fees apply only for these additional services.
