Branching Out Programs

Enhance your Shepherd's Spring Experience By Branching Out.
These programs are led by Shepherd's Spring staff. Branching Out programs vary from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Our program staff can help you select one or more Branching Out experiences to fit your group. Please call for pricing and additional information.

Teambuilding Activities - Helps a group explore how they work together. Problem- solving, decision making, communication skills are all part of learning to work together during activities.

Teambuilding Initiatives Course - Take a groups ability to work together a step further. The initiatives course allows a group to strengthen their skills to communicate, problem- solve, and make decisions through a variety of challenges.

Vermiculture - Explore red wiggler worms and the cycle of composting from kitchen waste to worm tea for the garden creating wonderful veggies for dinner.

Rope Making - Have you wondered how rope can be thick or thin - find out for yourself how to make rope.

Candle Making - What does it take for a candle to burn? Investigate different styles of candles and explore Beeswax as one of the many different ways to make a candle.

Making Goat Cheese - The process of milking a goat, making the cheese, and then eating what you make!

Peace - Issues of war, privilege, violence and non-violence will be talked about by using hands on activities, conversations, and an Antietam Battlefield Tour. This opportunity directly engages the lessons and issues that were discussed during the Heifer Global Village experience through the lens of peace.
